Today I found out that Mr. Bean, the beautiful 'Bossy Mr. Bean' who I had the pleasure of photographing recently was not doing well this week and was laid to rest yesterday.  I cried and I am sad.  For those of us that are pet owners, we know this feeling -- you don't just own them -- you love them, hug them, adore them & love them some more -- and that love never goes away even when that ultimate decision has to be made because we are their voice as well.

This is the first time that I have done this on my Blog & so instead of my words that memorialize Bean, I asked Kim & Kathe to give you theirs since he was their baby and I hope this post helps their grieving process.

Alexander Black Bean Kingston, 1998 - 2010

Bean entered into life born as a nameless black male dumpster kitten along side with his nameless brothers and sisters. Rescued by an organization, the paths of this furry black kitten and Kathe Kingston had crossed. The black kitten along with his brother, a gray kitten, were successfully adopted into Kathe's loving home and the black kitten was given the name of Alexander Black Bean.

From that day forward, Bean Kingston, showcased unique personality traits that touched the hearts of many. It was jokingly said that Bean was the spirit of Mozart because he hunted pens obsessively throughout the night. He played the piano by walking along the piano keys and producing dramatic musical combinations. He held his composure by relaxing with his two front paws crossed. He was social and charming with guests. He was the protective man in the house showing all dogs who was really in charge there (obviously not the dogs!). He loved to eat and was a rather large cat at 13 - 14 lbs. He showed Kathe Kingston, family and friends, 12 years of unconditional love.

Although his body no longer remains with us, his spirit will remain with us forever. We love you "black beauty". We will never forget you.

{bullet & tucker | DREAM Rescue}

I think they had been watching the day progress -- watching the many sessions before them -- since these two just walked in with their mom like they were seasoned pros!  And Bullet at one point just was so relaxed and I was able to get the cutest shots!  And during part of the session, it was as if these two were having a conversation with one another while Mom was telling them to sit, stay, whoa...stay!  I ended up taking a series of images that show this "conversation" - and I wanted to share it so I created for this Sneak a little storyboard that shows these two -- it is too cute and funny!

So I have to tell you that the DREAM "family" are awesome people!  All of you and your 4-legged babies made me laugh all day during the event and although I am sure I looked a mess by the time I was photographing Maggie & Max (the 11th session that day!), you didn't look at me funny! Thank you.  I also really appreciate your patience on all of these images being released -- I was on a roll and then got smacked with Vertigo last week -- and let me just say, it does nothing for someone whose life is practically on the computer!  :  )

Maggie & Max -- well what a laugh we had!  Miss Maggie was elegant, poised and just so sweet.  A little shy but was much more comfortable when Max joined her.  Max just made me giggle -- we tried a couple different things but he was determined to be "on the move" or hunting around for the next treat (big surprise, right?)!  So, we put him on the chair and mom talked to them standing behind me and wa-la -- we got some beautiful shots!

Mr. Cosco was a sweet, shy little boy and just looked at us like 'you're putting me in a what?!!' when we put him in the suitcase for a shot and 'no, i am not going to smile today, so there!' BUT little by little, he kinda' warmed up because as most of fur-babies go, they love to have a little belly & butt rub and it's ALL good!  So, we just let him do his thing and mom did a gentle belly rub and then a little bit on the back and hmm...I think Cosco was feeling pretty good!

And, of course, you all know how much I love all their little teeth so I have to share one of the last shots with you where he was on the bench and the face is just too much!

I realized as I started posting Koko's Sneak Peek this evening that I had yet another mama's baby!  Koko was so sweet and all she wanted was to be with mom and since we do what our 4-legged babies feel comfortable with, we had mom take a seat and just hold onto her baby!  And if I remember correctly, we ended up taking a break and did another few sessions and then Terrilyn came back with Koko once a little more energy had been expended (by Koko, not her mom)!  And even with mom apologizing and saying, "oooh..not sure if you're going to get any...", I'm always pretty certain that it is possible and that these babies always tend to surprise their parents afterwards!  And Koko was no different -- a real sweetheart who hopefully did surprise mom a little bit!

Miss Ella was another mama's girl -- so sweet and so shy and I honestly think she was just a little scared what with the big white thing flashing light (my softbox) and being set on all kinds of seats and cushions being asked to be a model in the midst of all the other fur-babies running around!  She did awesome though and her images just show a sweet little baby girl that just wanted to curl up with her mom.  Either that or a little one that was just thinking 'wait 'til we get home mom..."  But I could swear that on some, she was actually smiling -- so cute!! :  )

Here is sweet Ella --

All I see are these tennis shoe with hot pink shoe laces followed by a little, black 4-legged with a hot pink collar practically stuck to her mom's legs! Yes, we had a big-time mama's girl and she was so cute!  She was her mom's shadow!  So, needless to say, we decided it would be best if mom was in a few of the images so Zoey felt comfortable and calm and of course, she loved it!   Paddington on the other hand, no problem...did his own thing, was interested in playing and was generally kinda' saying "are we done yet mom? I just wanna' go play!"

Check out these two cuties -- mom had set up a longer session because originally their brother was going to join them.  But I heard that there was some 'bad behavior' earlier in the day so they thought it best that he not participate...yes, a "doggie time-out'!  So, I love this one shot where they are looking at me like, "where's our brother...there some space here for him!"  Too cute!

There are a few extras here because mom had gotten two sessions hoping for all three fur babies to be photographed and I couldn't help myself on the two close-ups -- one of just a fuzzy sweet face and the other of the cutest little teeth that had to be shown!
